My interest was sparked at a very early age by, of course, Patrick Moore and the US space programme.

It was sparked so much that I pursued a degree in Astronomy @ University College London from 1973 - 1976.

During my teens I flirted with various opera glasses, home constructed ‘telescopes’ and a borrowed Charles Frank 4” reflector on a table top mount.
